Published on : Friday 07-10-2022
CDS high precision Link Conveyors provide the industry’s highest accuracy and repeatability for automated assembly and manufacturing machinery platforms.
Bettinelli S.p.A, established in 1953, specialises in the development and manufacturing of precision motion control components and systems
CDS produces the widest range of mechanical Cam Driven Units, commonly known as rotary / indexing tables for precision motion control applications, requiring rotary or linear transfer, positioning and handling. The products range includes, cam indexing and servo-driven tables, ring positioning drives, intermittent and oscillating drives with parallel or right angle configuration, rotary and linear part handlers, precision link transfer systems, and epicycloidal servo reducers
The manufacturing takes place centrally in Italy. The regimen starts with design and engineering, CNC induction hardening, CNC milling, grinding, quality check and then assembly, painting and shipment. In order to ensure quality, all components are machined internally, including the cam hardening by a proprietary CNC controlled induction hardening equipment. For better finish, the products are also subjected to chemical nickel plating, blasting and painting. The manufacturing process is constantly controlled to conform to international standards. The company’s quality systems are ISO-9001-2008 certified.
Over the years, Bettinelli Group and CDS Indexers have become synonymous with high quality automation products and technologies. “Our design and manufacturing systems have furnished competitive and strategic advantages to numerous industries in pharmaceutical, automobile, manufacturing, packaging and a plethora of other sectors. And for automation functions, our solutions are invariably preferred by companies,” says Rupesh Paparaju, Director, Bettinelli Automation Components, India
Features – High Precision Link Conveyor
Built to suit the Productivity, Durability and Flexibility needed for a modern automation, the modular design of the TL conveyors combine excellent Accuracy and Speed capability with maximum Versatility.
Accuracy
1. Special chain with cast iron alloy precision links machined to the highest accuracy standards and protected with nickel plating
2. Hardened and ground pivotal and sliding elements, and
3. Constant chain tension is guaranteed by chordal compensation cams.
Speed
1. The CDS indexing drive type IGA allows a high number of cycles per minute with vibration free motion, and
2. Operating speed can reach up to 240 cycles per minute depending on the load.
Versatility
1. The modular concept is designed to allow for maximum flexibility
2. Provides easy custom alteration such as conveyor length, index distance, index motions, different drive package arrangements, and
3. Allow access to assembly parts from all sides including underneath.
Pallet links
1. Conveyor pallets are precision machined cast iron alloy links with nickel plating. All links have pocketed keyways included for fast and precise loading of tooling fixtures.
TL Sizes (mm): 25-50-75-100-105-150-200-250.
2. CDS pallet links have positioning keyways on the vertical surface to precisely mount fixtures and tooling. The vertical keyway is a precise datum location for the pallet.
3. The vertical keyway also ensures precise perpendicularity of the pallet link in relations to the length of the conveyor. Also, right angled tooling fixtures can be designed to rest on the top horizontal edge of the conveyor pallets, thereby providing a fixed locating point for tooling.
4. CDS Precision Link Conveyors utilize very rigid cast iron alloy links which are electro-less nickel plated for corrosion resistance. The cast iron links are very rigid and not susceptible to temperature extremes and maintains high dimensional accuracy over time.
5. The links are held together with hardened steel hinge pins and hardened steel bushings, which eliminates lateral twist of the pallets.
