It is a delight to see very active participation of students in projects as part of India Automation challenge-IAC. Students represent our future and when I see various interesting ideas and projects, I feel our industry is in safe hands. My message to students – aim high, broaden the vision, gain knowledge, work hard, execute well and rededicate yourselves to do better irrespective of results. We need both ideas and good execution. Leverage all industry bodies to gain practical knowledge to complement university education. Do not fear failures. There is no one magic step for success. There is no substitute for hard work. Success attained through our hard work and knowledge and built around sound ethics and integrity can be long standing and will have a positive impact on the society. As a country, we are poised for high growth in the coming years. With our large student population and young work force, we can become world leaders. As students, you can become our thought leaders and you can be the seed for many great successes.

Wish you all the very best!!

Students will get ample scope in building their ideas and showcasing them to a group of experts in the area of automation & control. By developing a real time model, students get involved in different disciplines and will get hands-on experience, which enhances their capability in their project work as well in their jobs. Hence it will be better if they are selecting such project work, which can initiate their final projects also. The most important part is that, during this process they will go through various research papers and already existing working models, and will enhance their knowledge in various domains.

The IAC is an amazing concept and execution. The world has progressed a lot and now we are seeing new technology development.

I was equally surprised and excited to see the new concepts well executed and demonstrated at Automation Expo 2024. Young minds are intuitive and with correct guidance and motivation to work can come up with great ideas. It was evident from the project details. It might have been difficult to judge as to me all concepts looked quite promising.

I believe this is a great time to be an automation engineer. As everything from cutting edge areas to our everyday lives become more and more automated, whatever may be your area of interest, there is tremendous scope for making a difference. And remember, in today's complex world, no individual or not even a single organisation can achieve great things, but an ecosystem can. So, take a multi-disciplinary approach and understand the whole nine yards within your industry. But develop deep expertise in you chosen area within that. Don't stagnate and keep reinventing yourself.
