Extracthive, founded in 2015, is a French SME dedicated to circular economy solutions, specializing in industrial waste recycling. Its proprietary PHYre® technology recycles carbon fibre reinforced polymers (CFRPs) from composite waste, producing high-quality, sustainable carbon fibres with a 90% reduced greenhouse gas footprint compared to virgin fibres. These fibres, including PHYre® DRY (long), PHYre® CSM (chopped), and PHYre® CMF (micronized), serve industries like aeronautics, automotive, and wind energy. Extracthive’s solvent-based process retains over 98% of the fibres’ mechanical properties, enabling applications in non-wovens, compounds, and additive manufacturing.
