Axiom Research Labs Private Limited, operating as TeamIndus, is a Bengaluru-based aerospace company founded in 2010 to compete in the Google Lunar XPRIZE. Although the competition ended in 2018 without a winner, TeamIndus continues developing its Z-01 lunar lander and ECA rover for commercial lunar missions. ISO 9001:2015 certified, it offers scalable platforms for orbital delivery and stratospheric applications, leveraging new systems engineering to reduce mission costs and lead times. With $18M raised from investors like Nandan Nilekani and Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, TeamIndus partnered with NASA’s CLPS program via OrbitBeyond in 2018 for lunar payload delivery and collaborates with ISRO. Its mission focuses on affordable, rapid-turnaround planetary exploration, targeting a $3B cislunar market by 2030.
