The theme of the CEO Summit is Sustainability through Innovative Technologies leading to Net Zero.

The Conference of Automation Technologies for Environment Protection is scheduled for Day 4 of Automation Expo 2022, 19th August 2022 from 9.30 am to 2 pm at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.

Technology is a catalyst for change. Thus, the idea to use technology to tackle the most significant global change that our generation is experiencing, climate change, is a natural impulse. Leaders across all sectors often look at advanced technological breakthroughs, such as artificial intelligence, IoT, big data, and others, to search for ways in which they can be used to help tackle climate change.

The automation and manufacturing sectors are already taking steps to reduce their carbon emissions. For example, new European guidelines set mandatory minimum efficiency levels for electric motors introduced into the European markets to help tackle climate change. Moreover, the Paris Agreement dictates that all signing parties should commit to becoming carbon neutral by 2050, an ambitious goal that can only be reached through a radical transformation of the most polluting manufacturing processes. Today more than ever before, the manufacturing sector is taking action to become more sustainable through the use of automation technology that boosts energy efficiency and reduces the waste of materials and resources.

As humans, we have the power to mitigate and reverse the consequences of man-made climate change. However, integrating the latest technologies can help us speed up this process and achieve a greener and long-lasting future for the entire ecosystem.
