E-mail Marketing Manager
Purpose of the role:
The Marketing Manager will support Research Marketing with campaign dissemination and ad hoc activities as required. Working with specific project owners for each campaign, the Marketing Manager will follow (and update where necessary) written processes to complete each campaign.
This will entail executing a project brief as outlined by a team member of RM. Some tasks will be repeated on a regular basis, e.g. certain monthly email campaigns, whereas some will only be needed as a one-off activity.
There is some scope for autonomy in the role, as well as requiring a candidate who is a self-starter and can effectively manage their own time.
The role is office based but may include occasional travel to other company locations for training.
Key Tasks:
Execution of Email Table of Content Alerts (Etoc) collate deployment schedule, email content and mailing list segmentation information from project owner. Tag email links using in-house UTM builder. Create HTML template and create audience segment using ESP. Proof read email for spelling and grammar, test all links are working and approve, then submit to project owner. On project owner approval, liaise with Marketing Services to deploy according to schedule. Report back campaign results to project owner via email. To be repeated on a weekly/monthly basis as required across multiple journals.

Proofread email for spelling and grammar, test all links are working and approve, then submit to the project owner. On project owner approval, liaise with Marketing Services to deploy according to schedule. Report back campaign results to the project owner via email. To be repeated on a quarterly basis.

Schedule and track advertising messages to be inserted into the Email Table of Content Alert (Etoc) Brief submitted from the project owner. Ensure all journals have banners across all platforms Liaising with ADOPS, complete an audit of (display) banners currently running by the journal. Analyze gaps and identify which titles are missing creative. Design of missing journal banners including briefing (via POS), proof-reading, amendment using Media Factory, and sign-off of creative. Ensure naming conventions reflect internal conventions. Tag links using in-house UTM builder. Sign-off creative with the project manager. Submit briefing document/ upload to DfP. Keep an accurate record of which titles are live and what is still needed for a project overview.
Ad-Hoc Tasks as Required including but not limited to the design of assets for display, print or social media from the pre-approved brief. The process may include briefing (via POS), proof-reading, amendment and sign-off of creative.

Skills / Knowledge:
Email Marketing experience
Fluent in business level English
Previous Experience:
Proven marketing experience in campaign dissemination across multiple channels
Experience of working in global teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including copywriting and proofreading)
Excellent time and organizational management skills
Ability to juggle multiple projects at once and adapt to changing situations quickly and effectively
Experience of campaign monitoring, analysis, and reporting
