JOB DESCRIPTION:
Role - Lead Engineer- Telecom. To lead a team of engineers and designers to execute FEED/Detailed Engineering jobs . Additionally to handle Proposals & Pre-Bid Engineering activities in the discipline.
Education - B.E/ BTech, M.E / MTech in Electronics / Communications / Instrumentation
Professional Experience 10-20 years

Detail Engineering and Design, FEED/Pre-Bid Engineering, Quality, HSE, Planning and Scheduling
Key relationships
Internal to organization: Project Management, Cross Functional Discipline Leads
External to organization: Interaction with Vendors / Clients
Responsibilities
Prime Responsibilities
- To lead a group of Engineers & Designers to produce project specific deliverables of high quality as per project schedule.
- Proposals & Pre-Bid Engineering activities in the discipline.
- Coordination, guidance, mentoring, and supervision for design and engineering
- Guide the Engineering Team in developing engineering deliverables as per the project execution philosophy, carrying out FEED, Pre-bid Engineering and Detail Engineering
- Develop company specifications / standards for the field of activity
- Oversee development of tools needed for continuous improvement of work process
- Interpret and incorporate industry information and advances
- Key Deliverables
- Request for Quotations / Technical Queries / Technical Bid Evaluations / Vendpr Print Reviews for all Telecom Systems / Sub Systems as CCTV, Public Address Systems, Radio, Access Control, EPABX / Telephone Systems, Hot Lines, Instrusion Detection System, LAN Systems, Structured Cabling Systems, Fibre Optic Systems, etc.
- Telecom System / Sub System Architecture and Block Diagrams, Telecom Design Basis and Philosophy,
- Material take-off, Block Diagrams, Equipment system specifications, cable routing, Loop Diagrams, Terminations Diagrams, Equipment Room Lay-outs, Cable Tray/Trench Lay-outs, Cable Schedules and Cable Drum Schedules, JB schedules and Interconnection Schedules.
- Input to designer for the 3D Modeling of Plant, Participate in the 3D Model Review & remove clashes with coordinating with other discipline.
- Participate in FAT and SAT with Client and Supplier.
- Interface Engineering and provide clarification and guidance and technical support to construction team.
- Review of Coverage Study reports (CCTV, Public Address, Radio etc).
- Ensuring the timely issue of Engineering deliverables as per the project schedule within Controlled Man-hours allocated.
- Ensure reduction of rework man-hours, Ensure Error free deliverables to Customer
- Review of project activity control status,
- Man-hour Estimation and Risk Identification / Mitigation,
- Planning/Projects for the schedule & progress reporting.
Shared cross-functionality
- Should have knowledge of interfaces with other engineering disciplines in carrying out project work for providing /receiving/ reviewing the deliverables at various stages of project
- Develop understanding of client’s requirements and resolution of the same

Need to Have
- Should have proven abilities to lead the team of engineers and designers
- Familiarity with the objective, contents and work processes of developing / generating deliverables such as Design, Specifications, Data Sheets, MR, PR, Technical Bid Analysis.
- Knowledge of international / domestic good engineering practices
- Knowledge of relevant international codes and standards pertaining to the oil and gas industry.
- Conversant with International and National industry Standards and Codes like IEC, NEC, NEMA, ITU, standards & Codes for Instrumentation items and Systems.
- Sound knowledge of EPC practices, codes and standards
