National, June 8, 2026: Ador Welding Limited, India's leading welding and cutting solutions company, is proud to announce that its Silvassa manufacturing facility has been awarded the GreenCo Silver Rating by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), recognizing the plant's significant efforts toward environmental sustainability and operational excellence.
The GreenCo (Green Company) Rating is a comprehensive and voluntary sustainability assessment framework developed by CII to encourage organizations to adopt environmentally responsible practices. The rating evaluates companies across key parameters including energy efficiency, water conservation, waste management, renewable energy adoption, greenhouse gas mitigation, green supply chain practices, and environmental stewardship.
The achievement reflects Ador's sustained efforts to integrate sustainability into its manufacturing operations. The Silvassa facility has implemented several initiatives focused on resource conservation and environmental responsibility, including structured waste segregation and management systems, reuse of packaging materials, water conservation measures, monitoring of water consumption, adoption of drip irrigation systems, utilization of treated water, rainwater harvesting initiatives, and employee awareness programs on sustainability.
Commenting on the achievement, Lajpat Yadav, Chief Operating Officer (COO), Ador , said: " Receiving the GreenCo Silver Rating for our Silvassa plant is a significant milestone in Ador's sustainability journey. Through targeted recycling programs, we save 85 metric tons of MS (Mild Steel) wire each year and have converted 80% of our packaging to recyclable materials. By switching to investing in solar energy, we have reduced our carbon footprint emissions by 114 tons. Sustainability is woven into our operations, and we continue to invest in measures that lower resource use, improve waste management, and deliver long-term value for our stakeholders.
The GreenCo Silver Rating further strengthens Ador's commitment to advancing sustainable industrial practices and aligns with the company's broader vision of creating a positive environmental impact while supporting India's manufacturing growth.
