AM Group Commences Development of Gigawatt Scale AI Compute Hub in Uttar Pradesh
AM Group begins a $25B, 1 GW AI compute hub in Uttar Pradesh, building a vertically integrated, carbon-free platform by 2030.

$25 Billion Investment to Establish World’s First Vertically Integrated AI Platform by 2030
NOIDA, UTTAR PRADESH, February 17, 2026 — AM Group, the leading energy transition platform backed by the founders of Greenko Group, has officially commenced the development of its mega 1 GW AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) Hub. This follows the landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed at Davos in January 2026.
AM AI Labs, an affiliate of the group, has received a Letter of Intent from the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) for 289 acres of land across Sector 28 and Sector 8D. This project represents one of India’s largest single-sector investments, directly aligned with the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
Scaling the Intelligence Revolution: "Photon to Token"
The project is engineered as a fully vertically integrated ecosystem, designed to deliver the world’s most competitive economics for AI tokens.
Phased Roadmap & Infrastructure
Phase 1 & 2 (Current): 350 MW of capacity (150 MW + 200 MW) scheduled to be online by 2028.
Full Scale (2030): 1 GW of cumulative compute capacity powered by approximately 500,000 high-performance chips.
Vertical Integration: The platform spans the entire value chain—from owned carbon-free power generation to data center infrastructure, specialized silicon, and a complete software stack.
Unmatched Energy Economics
Leveraging the founders' expertise in renewables, the hub will be powered by 24/7 carbon-free energy. This is enabled by:
Round-the-Clock (RTC) Renewables: A mix of solar and wind power.
Pumped Storage Assets: Strategic energy storage to ensure firm, on-demand power.
Intelligent Cloud Architecture: An in-house energy management system optimized for the high-density cooling requirements of AI clusters.
Global and Domestic Strategic Impact
India is currently the world’s second-largest consumer of AI tokens. By manufacturing these tokens domestically, AM Group aims to serve both frontier models at home and the global market for training and inference.
"AM Group has done this before in green hydrogen and ammonia... our goal is to deliver the lowest cost, most efficient AI tokens on the planet," said Anil Chalamalasetty, Group Chairman. "By integrating the full value chain from power generation through silicon to token delivery, we can optimize across layers in ways that no single segment player can."
FAQ.
What is "Tokens as a Service" (TaaS)?
Rather than just renting server space, TaaS allows developers to pay for the actual output of an AI model (the "tokens"). AM Group’s vertical integration allows them to produce these tokens at a significantly lower cost by owning the energy source and the hardware stack.
Why was Noida/YEIDA chosen for this project?
The region offers a robust industrial corridor, investor-friendly policies under the Uttar Pradesh Data Centre Policy, and proximity to India's primary tech hubs, making it the ideal location for a $25 billion high-tech ecosystem.
How does this project support "Viksit Bharat 2047"?
By creating a sovereign AI backbone, the project ensures India isn't just a consumer of foreign technology but a leader in AI infrastructure. It is expected to generate thousands of high-skilled jobs and attract substantial Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
