B&R Industrial Automation has launched its latest innovation, the X20 Drives, which provide an extensive range of motion capabilities in a compact housing. Designed to automate machine components such as conveyors and adjustment axes, these drives offer a cost-effective and energy-efficient solution for controlling motors from a few watts up to 1 kW. With an ergonomic design and scalable features, the X20 Drives enhance automation efficiency while ensuring safety and flexibility for various applications.

October 2024 – Designed for automating machine components like conveyors and adjustment axes, B&R Industrial Automation X20 Drives offer a wide range of motion possibilities in a compact design. Perfect for controlling motors from a few watts up to 1 kW, these drives provide a cost and energy-efficient solution for your automation needs. With its well-thought-out details and a sophisticated ergonomic design, X20 Drives with 48V low voltage technology enable control of stepper and brushless DC motors up to 1 kW in the familiar form factor of X20 slice based I/O family.
The new drive series brings increased scalability and flexibility in a compact design, with the ability to control two m option axes in a width of only 27.5 mm. A variety of encoder options, including encoderless operation, cater to diverse application needs. With integrated Safe Torque OFF (SIL 3), X20 Drives combine efficiency with safety for entry-level applications, seamlessly integrated in the B&R portfolio.
