Hosur, June 2025 – German automation leader Festo has officially inaugurated a ₹500‑crore (~€57 million) manufacturing facility in Hosur, set to elevate India’s industrial automation capabilities. Spread across approximately 75 acres of developed industrial land in the Krishnagiri district, the plant will manufacture advanced pneumatic components—including cylinders, valves, and air preparation systems—for both domestic and export market.
This facility forms part of Festo’s pledge at the Global Investors Meet 2024, where it committed ₹520 crore investment in Krishnagiri, aiming to generate over 2,000 jobs. Already, the Hosur plant is expected to create 1,000 direct and indirect jobs in its initial phase, with plans to grow further.
Marking the milestone during its centennial celebrations, Festo Chairman Thomas Böck emphasized the plant’s role in enhancing “local‑for‑local” production, reducing supply chain emissions, and reinforcing supply chain resilience. The facility aligns with Festo’s global localization strategy, reinforcing India’s role in its manufacturing network. The site will serve Asia‑Pacific, Middle East, and African markets, reflecting the company's commitment to Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat objectives.
