Jindal Lifestyle commissions powder coating facility at Pathredi plant

New facility adds a specialised surface finishing capability to Jindal Lifestyle’s portfolio of finished stainless steel products, with an annual production capacity of 5,000 tonnes.

Gurugram, November 04, 2026: Jindal Lifestyle, a subsidiary of India’s largest stainless steel manufacturer Jindal Stainless, has commissioned a state-of-the-art powder coating facility at its Pathredi plant in Gurugram, Haryana. With an annual production capacity of 5,000 metric tonnes, the facility expands the company’s manufacturing capabilities by adding powder coating as a specialised surface finishing option, enabling it to offer a wider range of finished products for metro rail systems, automotive, infrastructure, medical equipment racks, OEMs, luggage handling systems and other industrial applications.

The facility uses an automated conveyor-based process, supported by spray technology, nine water tanks and advanced nanopre-treatment chemistry. Its conveyor system is designed to accommodate components of varying sizes and these capabilities support the processing of a diverse range of components for mobility and infrastructure applications.

Commenting on the development, CEO, Jindal Lifestyle, Mr Dhirendra Bahadur Singh, said, “As customer requirements evolve, our focus is on expanding our capabilities to deliver finished products that meet a wider range of functional and aesthetic needs. The expanded capabilities will support Jindal Lifestyle’s luggage handling systems and metro rail portfolio, which includes handrails, car body shell components such as side walls, roofs, end walls and underframes, as well as electrical cabinets and battery boxes. Jindal Lifestyle already supplies finished products for projects and customers across India and international markets, including Germany, New Zealand, the UAE and Brazil. The new facility broadens the range of finishing solutions the company can offer.

By adding powder coating to its manufacturing capabilities, Jindal Lifestyle continues to expand its finished-product portfolio and strengthen its offering for applications where surface quality, durability and appearance are important considerations.
