The Open Group shapes the future of innovation and sustainability at Amsterdam Summit

The Open Group Summit 2025, hosted by The Open Group in Amsterdam from May 19-22, will bring together global leaders, experts, and practitioners from diverse fields such as AI, sustainability, digital transformation, and ecosystems architecture. San Francisco, CA, April 29th, 2025: The Open Group, the vendor-neutral technology standards organisation, is hosting The Open Group Summit in Amsterdam May 19-22 2025.

The event will bring together distinguished experts, visionary industry leaders, and seasoned practitioners from diverse fields including AI, Sustainability, Digital Transformation, and Ecosystems Architecture.

With a focus on how organisations can collaboratively shape a future where technology, sustainable practices, and interconnected ecosystems drive societal  and business excellence, the event will explore these themes through a dynamic agenda, offering attendees insights, tools, and connections to shape the future. 

Attendees will hear from global leaders about the intersection of innovation and sustainability and how these principles drive successful implementation in the modern enterprise. They will also learn from real-world case studies on how leading organisations have used The Open Group standards to drive sustainable innovation and achieved measurable outcomes. Additionally, the Summit will provide opportunities for collaborative networking, allowing participants to connect with peers, experts, and visionaries who are pushing the boundaries of innovation and sustainability across industries.

During the first day of the event, attendees will get a chance to hear from Ron Tolido, Executive Vice President and CTO at Capgemini, who will build on the 2025 edition of Capgemini's TechnoVision trend series, exploring how design swings between opposing forces to shape the digital spaces we inhabit. Later that day, there will be a session with Aaldert Hofman, Enterprise Architect, Schiphol Group, where he will show CIOs and architects how one of the largest airports in Europe has invested in an event-driven, service-based Enterprise Architecture that prioritizes scalability and adaptability. 

Attendees will also get the chance to delve into how AI can enhance the complexity, scale, and efficiency of ecosystems, driving innovation and creating new opportunities for value creation, with Rahul, Head of Research at Honda R&D Europe

There will also be Industry Awareness sessions, with the morning session focusing on the challenges faced by Enterprise Architects in modern enterprises, including rapid technological advancements like AI, Ecosystems Architecture, Digitization, and Sustainability. The afternoon will feature various tracks including EA Practice with the Architecture Forum, ArchiMate® Forum, Open Footprint® Forum, OSDU® Forum, Security Portfolio, and IT4IT™ Forum. Each track will provide insights into aligning IT with strategic goals, optimising business processes, addressing emissions data management, introducing the OSDU Data Platform, and exploring security standards and IT frameworks.
