The MoU for a strategic JV is set to transform how India builds its critical infrastructure, replacing slow, manual logistics with autonomous, heavy-lift aerial systems.

Resonia Ltd, a leading player in India’s power transmission infrastructure sector, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for a strategic Joint Venture with Amber Wings, a wholly owned subsidiary of Ubifly Technologies Pvt Ltd. This first-of-its-kind partnership aims to transform material logistics and construction workflows through advanced heavy lift drone technology.

A Major Step Toward Drone-Led Infrastructure Delivery

The MoU, formalized at the Dubai Airshow 2025, is positioned to reshape how India builds its critical transmission infrastructure. The agreement follows a successful pilot deployment on the Khavda IV C Transmission Project, where Amber Wings’ M50 heavy-lift drones transported up to 4 tonnes of material per day across challenging terrain. This reduced manual effort, minimized on-ground risks, and accelerated tower construction cycles—demonstrating the practical value of drone-led logistics in remote environments.

Leadership Statements on the Strategic JV

Commenting on the development, Arun Sharma, CEO, Resonia, said:
“By integrating heavy lift drone technology, Resonia is enhancing efficiency and safety on the Khavda IV C Transmission Project while laying the foundation for next-generation mechanisation across the sector. This milestone reaffirms our commitment to breakthrough innovation and strengthens our ability to deliver complex projects with greater speed, precision, and excellence.”

Highlighting the technological impact, Prof Satya Chakravarthy, Founder of Ubifly Technologies and CTO of Amber Wings, stated:
“This Amber Wings and Resonia agreement, signed at the world's most influential aerospace event, significantly boosts India's advanced aerial systems, focusing on enhanced payload drones, cooperative swarm tech, and autonomous tower installation. This synchronized effort will accelerate development and deployment, ensuring practical impact. We are excited about the potential use cases our drone platform can enable,”

Advancing Material Logistics and Construction Efficiency

Through drone-enabled material movement, tower assembly support, and remote-site logistics, Resonia is shifting away from high-risk, labor-intensive construction practices. Heavy lift drones offer a modern, agile, and scalable alternative that boosts speed, safety, and efficiency across transmission projects.

The strategic Joint Venture positions Resonia and Amber Wings as leaders in adopting aerial logistics to modernize India’s power transmission infrastructure.
