Samko Group and SRAM & MRAM group sign JV for AI-ready Smart Cities
Samko Renewable Energy and SRAM & MRAM Group form a JV to launch Nikola Tesla AI-ready smart cities featuring GIGA factories, BESS manufacturing, and integrated townships in Tamil Nadu and the UK.

The JV will lead Nikola Tesla AI-ready largest smart cities integrated with BESS manufacturing facility and largest township rollout in Tamil Nadu and UK.
Samko Renewable Energy Limited, a subsidiary of Samko Holdings UK, has announced the signing of a landmark Joint Venture Association Agreement (JVAA) with SRAM & MRAM Projects Limited, a subsidiary of the SRAM & MRAM Group. The partnership establishes Samko SRAM & MRAM BESS Limited, a joint venture company that will spearhead the rollout of Nikola Tesla’s global network of integrated manufacturing townships. These advanced townships aim to build next-generation smart cities featuring GIGA factories, towers, commercial malls, coffee shops, and resorts, beginning in Tamil Nadu, India, and the United Kingdom.
A Multi-Billion-Dollar Smart City Vision Inspired by Nikola Tesla
The newly formed JV will act as the primary implementation vehicle for the Nikola Tesla Smart City Project, a multi-billion-dollar initiative designed to accelerate industrial modernization and global manufacturing capacity. Each township will span a minimum of 100 acres and will be built within an 18-month development cycle.
These Gigafactory-scale facilities will integrate automation, renewable-energy technologies, advanced storage systems, and circular-economy production frameworks—positioning both India and the UK as key hubs in global smart manufacturing.
Strategic Responsibilities of Each Partner
Under the JVAA, the SRAM & MRAM Group will provide technological know-how, strategic tie-ups, and offtake agreements with Tesla Group and other industry partners. They will also assist in working with government bodies to secure grants, incentives, and credit facilities crucial for mega-infrastructure rollout.
Samko Renewable Energy Limited, meanwhile, will take the lead in financing coordination, land acquisition, operational management, and working-capital execution—ensuring ground-level implementation aligns with global standards.

Site Finalization in India and the United Kingdom
Renowned renewable-energy entrepreneur Mr Sampath Kumar Mallaya has collaborated with SRAM to finalize prime locations in both Tamil Nadu, India, and the United Kingdom. These sites will host India’s first and largest integrated smart city featuring a Gigafactory under the Nikola Tesla vision.
Strengthening the Technological Bridge Between the Groups
Mr Vaidyanathan, CEO of Samko Holdings, has played a key role in building the company's end-to-end tech stack and enabling Samko’s expansion into petrochemicals. Acting as a strategic bridge between SRAM and Samko, he has helped establish a strong, symbiotic relationship that strengthens the JV’s long-term vision.
