Automation Expo 2021 is organising webinars on Emerging Technologies and Innovation.
March 29, 2021 – IED Communications, the organiser of the well-known Automation Expo series of the annual exhibition and conference programme, has announced a webinar on Developments in Ethernet APL & HART Technologies on April 16, 2021 at 3.30 PM.
Covid-19 has transformed businesses and society in many ways. The current situation is, in some ways, an opportunity to plan for future unpredictable challenges – be it economic crises or further pandemics – and start designing resilient sociotechnical systems to thrive in an uncertain and changing world.
“Staying in contact with the industry in general, and the exhibitors and visitors in particular, is always crucial, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic period with the attendant lockdown that has restricted regular industrial events and activities. Against this backdrop, we have opened up a state-of-the-art channel for meeting the industry professionals and enthusiasts with our series of webinars on emerging technologies and innovation,” says Ms Jyothi Joseph, Director, IED Communications.
The webinar on the theme ‘Developments in Ethernet APL & HART Technologies’
shares the strategic directions of the FieldComm Group, lead the development of a unified information model of process automation field devices, while building upon industry investment in the HART®, FOUNDATION™ Fieldbus and FDI™ standards.
Digitalisation is happening and Ethernet-APL is one of the key building blocks for this transformation. As an enabling technology Ethernet-APL offers a higher speed and bandwidth using Ethernet as a basis for product development. Everyone from designers, engineering procurement contractors to control and field device developers to plant manufacturers, service providers and end-users will use Ethernet-APL.
Further enhancements in HART Technology, PA-DIM, HART-IP, and Wireless HART will open many exciting opportunities on device levels and which will support convergence towards IIoT enabled automation.
