Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) – Automation Solutions launches Factory Automation Solutions for Tyre Industry
Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) Automation Business (www.winautomate.com) has launched Industrial automation and factory automation solutions specifically for the Tyre Industry.
Tyre industries have been relying a lot on imported systems to automate their factories from USA, Europe, Korea and China. WIN Automation believes that “Make in India” is not complete if the capital equipment for production processes are continued to be imported. WIN Automation is now fully geared to provide end to end automation solutions for tyre industries competing with global majors. WIN will continue to leverage its partnership with Rockwell and other major automation partnerships towards this goal. We have already bagged a major order from one of tyre majors in the country.
Commenting on this foray Mr G Sundararaman, Senior Vice President & Head, WIN Automation said, “Tyre industries in India have already modernising their existing factories through automation and new greenfield projects are coming with latest technology. Towards this effort, we provide starting from raw material handling conveyors to mixers, storage solutions, green tyre transfer system, TRT conveyors, divertors, spiral conveyors, vision-based tyre inspection system, gantry-based stackers, de-stackers, ASRS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems) for finished tyres, robotic integration for needs of tyre industries etc.,”
WIN Automation has in the last one year worked with automotive OEMs and Tier 1 & Tier 2 companies. We have executed several robotic integration projects that address the specific needs of the industry like welding, machine tending, pick & place and material handling projects like assembly line conveyor for heavy engineering industry.
We have successfully done a shop floor people productivity improvement for a major tractor manufacturer using latest technology on blue tooth and UWB (ultra-wide band), said Mr Sundararaman
Since the inception of the business a year ago, WIN Automation Business has successfully partnered with automation product companies like Rockwell, Siemens & Mitsubishi, Robotic companies like Kuka, Yaskawa, Kawasaki & Fanuc and with PTC for Industry 4.0 digitalization. The business has 150-member team who have strong experience in working on 3D modelling, simulation, AR / VR & virtual commissioning technologies. The business aims to be a major player in System Integration space in India and in Asia. In March this year, it acquired Bengaluru-based Incite Cam Centre.
This acquisition enhances WIN Automation's capabilities in the physical automation space. It has given the business adequate infrastructure and experience to offer integrated and end-to-end automation solutions.
