Overmolded AT connectors for customised control of work machinery and trailers even under harsh environmental conditions

Vehicles used in forestry, agriculture, and waste management, including their trailers, as well as construction machinery, are constantly exposed to changing weather conditions, rain, and sometimes heavy contamination. At the same time, the level of automation is increasing, leading to a growing demand for machines equipped with sensors and other electrical components.

The integration of electrical and electronic components requires particularly secure connectors capable of withstanding high mechanical stress and harsh environmental and weather conditions.

Efficient fertilization and water management are becoming increasingly crucial in agricultural technology, for example. By intelligently networking various data, farmers can irrigate their fields accurately and proactively supply nutrients.

The overmolded AT connectors from CONEC provide a high degree of IP protection (IP67/IP69 K).

The overmolding ensures IP protection down to the cable. No liquid can penetrate the cable between the jacket and the conductor. Especially in short connections, the connected electronics and connector are optimally protected against moisture or oils, thanks to capillary action.

Optional plastic corrugated tubes further enhance the mechanical protection of the cable.

For easy and user-friendly applications, there are variants with protective circuitry and LEDs. The LEDs visually indicate the switching states at the connector. Custom cable lengths can be provided upon request.
