Connector, Han Protect
The HanĀ® Protect Connector from HARTING simplifies infrastructure protection in industrial control cabinets by combining an M12 A-coded I/O interface with an integrated microfuse in a compact HanĀ® 3A housing. Designed to protect downstream control units from faults, it enables quick fuse status identification through an external LED indicator and tool-free fuse replacement without opening the cabinet. By eliminating extensive fuse terminal rows, HanĀ® Protect helps save up to 30% of cabinet space, reduces maintenance and repair times, and improves overall system availability.

Vital processes in industry are controlled and secured via control cabinets – for example, the air-conditioning and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for buildings and systems. With the Han® Protect, HARTING has developed a connector that simplifies the protection of infrastructure and reduces the installation space required in control cabinets.
The connector in the Han® 3A design adapts the widely installed M12 A-coded interface for I/O signals as well as integrating a 5 x 20 mm microfuse.The latter ensures that in the event of a fault, the downstream control unit is protected. The connector is installed on the outside of the control cabinet with the result that blown fuses can be recognised without opening the cabinet by means of an LED and changed without any need for tools. This obviates the need for extensive rows of fuse terminals.
