The LS-S 7–8 ft Light Curtains are IP65-rated safety light curtains designed for safeguarding large industrial work areas. Featuring a 10-meter detection range, blind-zone-free operation, durable aluminum housing, and immunity to EMI, RFI, welding flashes, and ambient light, they provide reliable machine safety while simplifying installation, alignment, and maintenance in manufacturing, material handling, and packaging applications.

Banner’s LS-S series has been expanded to include 7- and 8-foot IP65-rated light curtains. While it is still possible to cascade shorter LS-S light curtains to create larger detection fields, the new 7- and 8-foot emitter/receiver pairs are built specifically for this purpose in a single light curtain. This reduces component usage, simplifies bills of materials, lowers costs, and decreases the amount of time necessary for assembly and alignment. With a 10-meter detection range, these curtains are ideal for safeguarding large areas in manufacturing, material handling, and packaging environments. They are well suited for automotive assembly, weld cells, palletising machines, and work areas that utilise ladders for user access. They are designed to be highly visible, intuitive to use and align, free of blind zones, and protected from impact by their 3-millimetre-thick aluminium housing. The system requires no PC software for configuration, and dual-scan technology makes the sensor immune to EMI, RFI, ambient light, welding flashes, and strobe lights.
