Tiaano ventured and developed a Electrolytic Scale Remover (ElSr); without adding chemicals, it generates disinfectant insitu and remove the scale by electrolytic operation – mitigate the scaling, corrosion, bio-fouling and bacterial infection in cooling tower Water distribution system. ElSr produces oxidants in the water; oxidants prevents the corrosion, bio-fouling, scaling, micro-organism growth and spread of airborne bacteria.
Scale/slime fouling on condenser results reduction in heat transfer. One mm thick of scaling will cause 30% more energy consumption. Because of ionization in ElSr, scale precipitation occurs; once the scale precipitated, it never adheres to the condensers/cooling tower water distribution system – it leads no further scale build up, slowly the existing scales also peels out in due course. Resulting maintain ‘DELTA T’ as it is when you used descaling agent or improves ‘DELTA T’. Thus electricity is saved.
Passing DC current from positive element to the negative element, it creates high pH in the vicinity of the negative. High pH causes scale to be deposited in the reactor. The water is not soft at the outlet of the ElSr, but the scale forming ions has been reduced to a level that prevents the precipitation in cooling tower water distribution system. ElSr will precipitate all scale forming ions, not just magnesium and calcium but other ions that are susceptible to dropping out the liquid at high pH, viz., Silica, Ferum, Manganese, etc.
The reaction in the chamber is Cl -+H +→HCland then HCl +HCl→Cl2+H2
ElSr removes suspended solids automatically and continually through its inbuilt micron filter. Savings in feed water, because reduction in water bleed. Modular system is designed and available according to the cooling tower chiller capacity like 200 TR, 300 TR, 400 TR, 600 TR, 800 TR, 900 TR, 1200 TR and 1600 TR.
