Innovation Challenge 2020: India Moves to Get Digitalize

Indian Government launched a program “Digital India Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Innovate Challenge” to boost the home ground of the Indian app ecosystem. The Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology’s (MeitY) Digital India Aatma Nirbhar Bharat Innovate Challenge will opt and execute in two stages, screening and evaluation.
The government reveals the innovation challenge, soon after the ban of 59 Chinese apps over privacy concerns, to improve the domestic app ecosystem. The challenge is focused to identify the best apps based on the categories such as office productivity focus to execute work from home, social networking, health & wellness, e-learning, entertainment, news, games, and agri-tech & fin-tech.
Considering the technicalities of the challenge that it will formulate in two stages, screening and evaluation (with actual pitch deck along with the demo). Moreover, any entrepreneur or start-up can participate in the challenge and make the online registration via the MyGov portal (innovate.mygov.in) before 18th July 2020. The jury is unspecified now, but it is expected that they are experts from the private sector and academic world, which evaluate the proposals then pick out apps based on ease of use, heftiness, scalability, and security features. The Indian government stated that the best apps would further adopt by the government to make it mature and commercialize. The results would declare is set to be done on 7th August 2020.
These kinds of challenges are creating opportunities in the Indian market and bring new talents on-board to thrive the nation’s economy and make it suitable to adopt digitalization. Moreover, the ban on Chinese apps creates demand in the domestic market of India and makes it the most suitable time to execute the operations to power the digitalize zone of the country. Moreover, these challenges are focused to expand the home production or home development along with the promotion of the “make in India” initiative. It is expected that the launching of the initiative to promote home manufacturing and bringing talents through providing them platform along with the mentorship from the industry experts to execute the efficient work. Such factors are expected to strengthen Indian home production in terms of manufacturing and application development (apps) to limited the dependency on foreign-based apps or products. This results in the powering of the Indian economy in the global market in the coming years.
