TempsensNEXT – The Udaipur Jamboree

The TEMPSENS Group embarked into 2018 with a signature event called TempsensNEXT, a two-day event on 5th and 6th January in the heritage city of Udaipur to showcase the capabilities and competencies of India’s most proficient “Thermal Engineering Solutions” provider. Known mainly for being the largest manufacturer of temperature sensors in India, TEMPSENS has accelerated its growth with its international presence in more than 70 countries across the globe and a repertoire of integrated temperature measurement and control products in their portfolio, which stand unmatched in India. This event was showcased through members of Instrumentation Experts Club (IEC), which has become a platform of meaningful interaction and information exchange where the professionals from around the globe who converge together introduce innovations in the field of Automation, Controls and Instrumentation and at the same time share the much needed experience in this dynamically growing domain.
During this two-day event, TEMPSENS successfully demonstrated their success story of growth accelerated through collaboration of ideas, talent, and capital and by creating infrastructure. It’s a story of how the organisation continues to grow and adapt, staying motivated and responsive to learn, re-learn and remain open to new ideas that ensure that TEMPSENS maintains the cutting edge and leadership position in industry.
TempsensNEXT was inaugurated by IEC Chairman, Dr B R Mehta, Senior Vice President, Reliance Industries Limited, Mr Neeraj Agrawal, Associate Director (C&I), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd, Mr V P Rathi, Managing Director, Tempsens Instruments (I) Pvt Ltd and his fellow co-founders of Pyrotech Group, Mr P S Talesara, Managing Director, Pyrotech Electronics Pvt Ltd and Mr N K Pande, Managing Director, Pyrotech Marketing & Projects Pvt Ltd.
On Day-1, Mr V P Rathi welcomed the dignitaries who attended the TempsensNEXT event and dwelt on how TEMPSENS essayed its journey from scratch to a position of leadership that began with the stepping stone of the PYROTECH Group in 1976.
Dr B R Mehta, Chairman of IEC, made his opening statement with emphasis on “Safety” and the catastrophic fallouts when it remains neglected.
The keynote address “Triggering Innovation” was delivered by Mr Herbert Müller, Director, Tempsens Instruments GmbH, Germany. He emphasised how organisations are confronting a time of many changes and a kind of blueprint for innovations that organisations need to meet these changes during a time of global change. He emphasised what TEMPSENS believe, that the world of business has no boundaries for innovation.
Mr Vinay Rathi, Director, Tempsens Instruments (I) Pvt Ltd in his presentation showcased the “Integrated Temperature Sensors Plant”. It was a graphical illustration of an end-to-end supply chain management of the various inputs and ingredients that go into the making of any typical temperature sensor. The key to this was the in-line and mid-line Quality Assurances that Tempsens offer through its processes and a tangible benefit to customer which differentiates a product from being good to great.

- Electrical Heaters in Process and Industry (by Mr Dinesha Shetty)
- Thermal Imagers for Industrial Applications (by Mr K P Baburaj)
The keynote address on “Energy Saving Through Thermal Engineering” was delivered by Mr Felix Nurdin, Director, Pt. Tempsens Asia Jaya, Indonesia. His presentation on how sensors can be a vital solution to reducing heat loss and energy consumption in the processes which in turn drive the cost benefits
AST Imaging Pvt Ltd – a new offshoot in TEMPSENS Group launched their new Thermal Imagers developed indigenously for the first time in India. The new models of Thermal Imagers were unveiled by Dr B R Mehta and Mr Neeraj Agrawal.
Following the presentations the dignitaries were privy to power the onsite experience at TEMPSENS manufacturing facilities. The dignitaries represented Consultants like Technimont, Jacobs, Toyo; Nuclear Industries – NPCIL, BARC; ISRO; Refineries – BPCL, Reliance; Chemical & Fertilisers – RCF, Deepak Fertiliser; Cement – Ambuja, Birla; Automation –Endress & Hauser, EIP Enviro, Technova, Akers, United Electrics, SAGA, Supreme Tech, Baumer, Meco, Schneider, Chemtrols, Technik; Glass – Piramal, Gopal Glass; and Steel – Essar, JSW, etc.
The dignitaries with their families enjoyed the 2-day Udaipur visit followed by cultural events.
