Humans have to adapt new roles to improve productivity

Are robots a boon or a threat to human beings, especially when it comes to jobs?
To some extent I would say yes, since robot is an automated machine which is able to work in complex environment while the human cannot, but on the other hand, robot safeguards human lives as it can work in hazardous areas or carry out operations in areas that have become unsafe for humans.
Is the robots-taking-jobs argument exaggerated, as there are still jobs waiting to be filled?
I would say yes, the robots also require human brain to maintain and operate. To fill the job faster human skill has to be aligned to get the job in industries with robotic system.
While robots are adapting fast to new roles, are their human counterparts slow in doing so?
Humans have to adapt new roles to improve productivity and efficiency by developing multitasking skills and working towards innovation to create logical framework with more advanced engineering.
Compared to the advanced economies, robot penetration in India is still low. Will there be a dramatic change in the near future?
I would say nothing will change dramatically, but yes, the percentage of robots surely will increase in Indian market in next 5 years by up to 25%, because in today’s competitive market, customers are demanding high quality and on time delivery and for that purpose manufacturers want flexibility in operation as per customer requirements to run their production lines with minimum wastage and low operational cost.
Finally, will man and robot co-exist in harmony?
Yes, of course. Today we have the collaborative robots or cobots which are working with humans in a collaborative way.
