The event, supported by the Consulate General of Italy in Bengaluru and FTCCI, showcased top Italian furniture and design brands, providing an ideal platform to explore investment opportunities and cross-border collaborations.

Hyderabad, April 2025 – The Italy & India Business Meet organised by IICCI – the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Bengaluru and FTCCI – The Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry, took place on 28th March, 2025 in Hyderabad, hosted at Ventura Gallery, bringing together prominent business leaders and industry experts. It marked a significant milestone as IICCI hosted its first event, Italy & India Business Meet, in the capital of Telangana.
The event was hosted at Ventura Gallery, by Ventura Interiors Pvt Ltd, featuring top Italian furniture and design brands, an inspiring platform to explore the immense opportunities for Italian companies looking to invest in Hyderabad. The session was opened by Mr. Devang Mistry – Director, Ventura Gallery, followed by Mr Alfonso Tagliaferri – Consul General of Italy in Bengaluru.
Mr Claudio Maffioletti, CEO & Secretary General of IICCI, highlighted the developments in Indo-Italian business relations and IICCI’s ongoing initiatives to strengthen bilateral trade and cross-border investment opportunities. In addition to this, Mr Claudio shared the upcoming IICCI flagship events – Namaste India, to be held in June, in Milan, promoting Indian investments, Indian lifestyle brands and handicraft products in Italy. Italian Tech in India to be held in September in Mumbai, an exhibition dedicated to Italian companies manufacturing in India along with the Impresa Awards 2025 ceremony. Festa Italiana to be held in November dedicated to Made in Italy and the Italian lifestyle, promoting Italian brands in India in the fields of fashion, furniture and design, agri-food, automation and culture.
Following the IICCI initiatives, valuable insights were shared by Dr Suresh Kumar Singhal – President, FTCCI and Dr Emmadi Vishnu Vardhan Reddy – Special Secretary (Investment Promotion & External Engagement), Government of Telangana into the unexplored potential for the Indo-Italian partnerships in high growth sectors.
A panel discussion and experiences sharing session with the Italian business leaders already operating in the region including Mr Marco Tozzi of Drillmec International, Mr Vinod Khanna from Apar Industries Ltd, Mr Aman Chordia of Chordia Automation Pvt Ltd, and Mr Aniket Kshatriya Vishwas from Fedegari Tech Service. The panel was expertly moderated by Dr Prasad S Onkar from IIT Hyderabad.
The panelist shared their experiences and their stories underscored the untapped potential for Italian enterprises in Telangana. The interaction was lively and full of valuable insights, on the value of Made in Italy and on the strategic point of contacts that make India and Italy business collaboration so fruitful.
