NEW DELHI, January 30, 2026 – Luminous Power Technologies, India’s leading consumer energy fulfillment company, has reached a major milestone with the inauguration of its first lithium-ion battery assembly line in Baddi, Himachal Pradesh.
The new facility features a production capacity of 500 MWh and utilizes advanced robotic automation to manufacture high-performance battery packs. This expansion reinforces Luminous’ commitment to next-generation energy solutions, providing scalable and reliable storage for India's evolving energy landscape.

The Baddi assembly line is designed for versatility, supporting a wide range of energy storage and mobility applications:
Residential & C&I: Standalone lithium-ion battery packs and stationary Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) ranging from 1.2 kWh to 16 kWh.
Electric Mobility: Specialized battery packs for e-rickshaws, supporting India's push for green urban transport.
Large-Scale Scalability: System-level capabilities extending up to 1 MWh for industrial use.
Industry First: Digital Traceability & Battery Aadhaar
In a major step toward transparency, the assembly line features end-to-end digital traceability. Every battery pack is fully compliant with the Government’s latest Battery Aadhaar requirements, allowing for complete lifecycle tracking, from manufacturing to recycling.
