Presage Insights Raises ₹5.6 Crore to Transform Predictive Maintenance in Indian Factories

AI-powered predictive maintenance startup Presage Insights has secured ₹5.6 crore in seed funding led by YourNest Venture Capital to expand its market presence and scale operations. The company's platform, which utilizes IoT sensors and AI analytics, is designed to reduce unplanned factory downtime by up to 40% and is already deployed across major industries with clients like Adani and Abbott Healthcare.

What if India’s factories could predict machine failures before they even happen? A young startup from Mohali is making that future a reality today.

Presage Insights, founded by Aman Bhambra, Atul Sharma, and Kamalpreet Singh Sidhu, has just secured ₹5.6 crore in seed funding from YourNest Venture Capital under the YourNest-SanchiConnect Velocity Program. Their AI-powered predictive maintenance platform is already being piloted in manufacturing plants across Punjab and Maharashtra, helping companies cut unplanned downtime by up to 40%.

“Our goal is simple: stop treating machines like they’re indestructible. With IoT sensors and AI analytics, we can hear the ‘heartbeat’ of a factory line and fix problems before they become disasters,” said Aman Bhambra (Co-founder, Presage Insights).

Industry Impact:

  • Reducing downtime = factories saving ₹50–75 lakhs annually on average.

  • Digital twins of machines let operators simulate production scenarios in real-time, boosting productivity.

  • Small and mid-size plants, often excluded from advanced Industry 4.0 tools, now have affordable access.

This move aligns with India’s “Make in India” and Smart Manufacturing (SAMARTH Udyog) initiatives, which target a 25% contribution of manufacturing to GDP by 2030.
If India can scale innovations like Presage Insights across 10,000 factories in the next decade, the country could avoid losses worth ₹10,000 crore annually — money that directly fuels productivity and global competitiveness.
