Jaipur, October 17, 2024: The South Asia Clean Energy Forum (SACEF) 2024 will be held from October 21 to 24, 2024, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. The forum will bring together government officials, energy experts, industry leaders, and stakeholders from six South Asian countries to advance clean energy solutions.

The high-level event will be inaugurated by the US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti and Minister of State Heeralal Nagar, who will launch several key clean energy initiatives. With the theme "Engage, Solve, Act," the South Asia Clean Energy Forum 2024 will focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and actionable steps to meet South Asia's energy demands. The forum will address key sectors including public transport, grid modernisation, cross-border trade, and clean energy finance, aiming to strengthen regional cooperation for a sustainable energy future.

The South Asia Regional Energy Partnership (SAREP) serves as a flagship program to advance objectives of the US Government’s Clean Asia Enhancing Development and Growth through Energy (Clean EDGE) initiative. SAREP improves access to affordable, secure, reliable, and sustainable energy in six countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka – to strengthen systems and processes, in line with the economic and energy-security priorities of these countries.

This program furthers the US Government’s Indo-Pacific Vision of facilitating collaboration among the six countries, to operate and accelerate the transition to clean energy, mitigate climate change, and promote energy security, economic development, self-reliance, livelihood, health, and productivity.
