In the month of March, Tata Power has reached out to its customers through digital electricity bills and messages encouraging them to contribute to the initiative by switching off non-essential lights from 8.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. on Saturday 25th March 2023. The company is also creating grassroot community awareness across Delhi, Mumbai and Odisha, through its women change agents – Abha, through door-to-door interactions with consumers.
Enhancing the effort further, Tata Power Delhi has gone social with the awareness initiative using WhatsApp groups and social media platforms to reach out to Resident Welfare Associations and Societies, encouraging the public to participate in Earth Hour 2023.
Earth Hour serves as a symbolic Lights Off movement to show collective support towards the planet and promote public awareness on climate change highlighting the need for sustainable living. To mark this occasion, Tata Power is also organising a beach clean-up and recycling drive in Mumbai as a part of Tata Volunteering Week, contributing to the global movement towards promoting sustainable development.
