Puls Power India looks forward to working closely with the country's engineering and automation community, as the company grows its presence in India.

India's industrial landscape is undergoing a fundamental transformation. From smart manufacturing floors and automated warehouses to energy-efficient building systems and safety-critical infrastructure, the demand for reliable, intelligent power solutions has never been greater. It is in this context that PULS – one of the world's leading manufacturers of DIN rail power supplies and inductive charging systems – has formally established its operations in India, marking a significant milestone in the company's global growth journey.

We are proud to announce that Puls Power India Private Limited is now fully operational, with a sales and application office in Bengaluru and a warehousing and logistics facility at the Free Trade Warehousing Zone (FTWZ) in Chennai. With this, India joins a select group of markets where PULS has a direct, committed presence – bringing its full portfolio and technical expertise closer to Indian engineers, OEMs, system integrators, and industrial end users.

Who we are

PULS was founded in 1980 by Bernhard Erdl in Munich, Germany. Over more than four decades, the company has grown into a global leader with approximately 1,700 employees worldwide. What sets PULS apart is a singular, unwavering focus: engineering power supplies that push the boundaries of efficiency, compactness, and reliability.

PULS manufactures all its products at its own facilities in Chomutov (Czech Republic), Suzhou (China), and Drebach (Germany) – ensuring full control over quality at every stage of production. Our power supplies regularly set new benchmarks in energy efficiency, with many products achieving efficiencies above 96%, reducing energy consumption, heat generation, and total cost of ownership for our customers.

Today, the PULS Group encompasses not only its flagship DIN rail and Field Power Supply portfolio, but also two specialist brands that extend our capabilities into adjacent domains: Wiferion, our wireless charging division for AGVs and AMRs, and Adelsystem (referred to as Adel), a PULS company specialising in power conversion solutions. Together, these three pillars allow us to serve a broad and growing range of industrial applications.

Our product portfolio

At the core of our offering are PULS DIN rail power supplies – trusted by machine builders, panel builders, and system integrators across the world for their reliability, compact form factor, and high efficiency. Our product families address a wide range of current and voltage requirements, covering applications from standard 24 V DC control circuits to complex multi-axis industrial systems.

Key product families available in India include:

  • DIMENSION – Our flagship single-phase DIN rail power supply series, engineered for demanding industrial environments. Known for its long service life, wide input voltage range, and consistent output performance, the DIMENSION series is a preferred choice among OEM machine builders and panel designers.

  • PIANO – A high-density power supply series designed for space-constrained applications, offering excellent power output in a narrow profile.
  • PLANET – The PLANET series represents PULS's commitment to compact, cost-optimised power solutions for standard industrial applications. Designed for easy integration and long-term reliability, PLANET products deliver consistent performance across a wide range of automation and control applications. As part of our partnership with Industrial Automation India magazine, we are pleased to share a dedicated product feature on the PLANET series alongside this article.
  • MiniLine – Ultra-compact single-phase power supplies for space-critical applications, including decentralised control cabinets and small machine modules.
  • FIEPOS – Our Field Power Supply range, designed for installation outside the control cabinet, directly on the machine or in the field. With protection ratings up to IP67, FIEPOS products are built for harsh environments and decentralized power architectures.

Wiferion: Wireless charging for the age of automation

As India's intralogistics and warehouse automation sectors accelerate, the need for efficient, infrastructure-light charging solutions for Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs) and Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs) is growing rapidly. Wiferion, a PULS brand, addresses this need with a portfolio of high-performance inductive charging systems that eliminate manual plug-in charging, reduce downtime, and enable continuous operation.

Our flagship product for this segment, etaLINK 3000, delivers up to 3 kW of wireless charging power with high efficiency and fast, reliable energy transfer. The CW1000 provides a 1 kW wireless charging solution for lighter mobile platforms. Our etaSTORE battery systems

complement these charging solutions, providing intelligent energy storage designed for industrial trucks and AGV fleets.

For Indian AGV and AMR manufacturers, Wiferion represents a ready-to-integrate wireless charging solution backed by PULS engineering – with local support available through our Bengaluru office.

Adelsystem: Extending power conversion capabilities

Adelsystem, a PULS company, broadens our portfolio with a range of power conversion products including DC-DC converters, battery chargers, and uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) tailored for industrial and building automation applications. Adelsystem's products complement the PULS power supply range, enabling us to offer more complete power architecture solutions to our customers in India.

Our India operations

The inauguration of our Bengaluru office and the operationalization of our Chennai FTWZ facility represent the beginning of a long-term commitment to the Indian market. Our Bengaluru office serves as the commercial and applications hub, housing our sales, technical, and customer support functions. The Chennai FTWZ facility enables us to maintain inventory and ensure fast, compliant delivery of products to customers across India without the delays traditionally associated with importing goods.

Mr Shashidhara, Country Manager of Puls Power India Private Limited, has been instrumental in establishing PPI's foundation in India. "India is a strategically important market for the PULS Group," he notes. "We see significant demand from OEM machine builders, system integrators, and the rapidly growing warehouse automation sector. Our direct presence ensures that Indian customers receive the same level of technical depth and application support that PULS customers in Europe and the US have come to expect."

A partnership built on engineering excellence

As we grow our presence in India, we look forward to working closely with the country's engineering and automation community – supporting design teams with application expertise, offering competitive lead times through our FTWZ infrastructure, and bringing the full strength of the PULS Group portfolio to bear on India's industrial challenges.
